Read MoreWelcome to Bengali Association Singapore
We are a non-profit, socio-cultural organisation dedicated to celebrating and preserving Bengali culture in Singapore. Founded in 1956, BAS has grown in strength through the decades, earning a pre-eminent position in Singapore society and amongst the global Bengali diaspora. Today, we have more than 1,000 member families from all walks of life, living, studying, working and contributing to nation-building in the Lion City.
Aside from organising cultural celebrations such as Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti and Durga Puja, BAS actively participates in broader community outreach events which are part of the Singapore government’s efforts to promote greater assimilation and national integration. Social gatherings like picnics and sports are also held regularly for members to mingle and interact with the wider Bengali community.
