Indian New Year celebrations 2021

Spearheaded by Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association (LISHA) 16 organisations representing Indian ethnic groups, presented cultural segments to celebrate the Indian New Year. Held at the event hall of Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple in Serangoon Road on April 14, BAS showcased a folk dance representing rural life of Bengal. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Indranee Rajah was the guest of honour at the launch. Minister Alvin Tan also graced the occasion. As part of the President’s Challenge initiative, Minister Indranee Rajah received a cheque on behalf of President Halimah Yacob. The donation for a worthy cause included contributions from Lisha, individuals, businesses and event partners including BAS.
